Check an Australia education consultancy by the quality of its course research, fee disclosure, document controls and limits. Accurate guidance should explain uncertainty and give you enough evidence to defend your own decision.

No education consultant can guarantee university admission, a Student visa, permanent residence or a job. Those claims are a reason to step back.

Verify university relationships

Australian education providers commonly publish the agents authorised to represent them. Check the university’s own website rather than relying only on a logo displayed in an office or advertisement.

Study Australia’s official application guidance recommends using an agent supported by the provider you want to attend, comparing several agents and understanding all fees before paying.

An agent can represent some institutions without representing every suitable option. Ask whether a recommendation is limited to the consultancy’s partner list.

Expect a profile-first consultation

Useful advice should begin with:

• your complete academic history;
• English-language readiness;
• course and career goals;
• budget and source of funds;
• preferred location and intake;
